Packshots are product photos that are usually photographed on a white background. They are commonly seen where products are being sold online and in other eCommerce applications. A "hard edge" product photo makes it easier to "cut out" and isolate the product, so that it can be used as a graphic design element with different backgrounds. A "natural edge" packshot features product edges that are softer and that fade out in a natural manner. Natural edge packshots can have a softer, "daylight" look, but may not always have 100% white backgrounds.
