This is one of the "hero" photos from the P.S. Flavor!™ Club's Winter 2018 recipe pages... the Pan Seared Bronzed Pineapple Chicken with Warm Winter Roasted Vegetables.
A couple of months ago, a new publication that I have been working on for the
P.S. Flavor!™ Club was released and it's something I'm really happy with. I am getting to shoot a good bit of the photography along with the designing and laying out the quarterly booklet and the team at P.S. Flavor!™ is just so much fun to work with. (If you would like to find out more about the new P.S. Flavor!™ Club,
I'll be adding a post about the actual design of the publication in a bit, but I wasn't really sure where to put some of the photos that I'm staging and shooting for this, so I've added a dedicated "
product photography" sub-menu link under main "photography" menu item. I've added a few of the photos from the Winter 2018 publication to that page.
Because of the amount of lead-time required for publishing and print production, there's almost zero chance of getting all the components in-hand to take a "finished dish" photo like you might expect to see as a recipe headline shot.
Instead, we are showing the spice blend product bottles that are used in each recipe, along with some of the raw food and flavor components that you will be tasting in each dish.
Here is a lighter take on the "Warm Winter" concept. This is a recipe hero shot, that shows some of the food components that make up the recipe along with the spice bottles.
It's such a fun, different way of approaching a recipe headline photo! If you're interested in attending three, live, on-line classes with internationally known chef and author Pamela Smith RDN, and discover some of the tricks and tips that top chefs use to create restaurant quality meals, right in your own home…
check out the P.S. Flavor!™ Club.
I also set up a darker version of the Warm Winter bottles. This is for the Club's first official recipe class entree Warm Winter Rubbed Pork Tenderloin with Sweet Potato Kale Hash.
The Club Kit that is sent out seasonally includes all three spice blends that you will be using for that season's classes, along with an amazing looking 28 page publication that contains all three of the full recipes for that season. (I'll be writing a post about that amazing kit here at some point as well… but I don't want to give away too much info about next season's P.S. Flavor!™ Club Kit.)
